I offer both initial and recurrent training to satisfy the requirements of your insurance company. While the training is designed to meet the requirements of your insurance company, it will also be specifically tailored to your own personal requirements.
The initial or recurrent training is designed to challenge you and help you constantly strive to be a more knowledgeable and competent pilot in your aircraft. The recurrent training program will meet the requirements of your insurance company while improving your skills, maintaining proficiency, and currency.
My training is designed to be flexible and to meet the needs of your busy schedule. For your convenience, I can train at either your location or at my home base in the mountains of northeast Tennessee. There are numerous hotels in the area plus, on-site rental cars (at FBO), and overnight hangar services are available.
All of my training is accepted by many of the aviation insurance underwriters and is designed to be convenient for you. If you are not sure if your insurance company will approve my training program in your aircraft please contact me so that I can assist in confirming the approval of training programs. If your broker tells you that you must attend a simulator based training, but you prefer to do the training in your aircraft we can work with your broker and your policy underwriter to allow you to do that.
I have instructed in nearly every combination of avionics that is currently available. I have very extensive experience instructing in all Garmin, Avidyne, STEC, Collins, Honeywell and many others.
My top goal in completing your training is to ensure that you are ready to safely and efficiently operate your aircraft. Training in your aircraft provides you with real world operation skills you will need in order to safely operate it in the normal airspace environment.
